Happy Four Month Birthday!

Dear Ian,
Yesterday you were four months old. I can hardly believe how much time has passed since you were born. You continue to amaze me everyday. Over the last month you have really changed. You still cry a lot, but not as much as you used too. When you're not crying, you are so much fun to be with! You smile a lot, and you even laugh out loud. It's so funny. You like to make funny faces. You are constantly staring at your hands and feet. You like to grab at things, and as soon as you get them, you plop them right in your mouth. Your favorite toy is a stuffed Nemo that Aunt Melissa won for you at the boardwalk. Aunt Melissa is one of your favorite people. You love to stare and laugh at her. During this month you took your first trips to the beach, the pool, and the boardwalk.

You started eating cereal a few days ago. You didn't like it at first, but once I put some pears in it you liked it a lot more. You seem to like cereal more at night than in the morning. When I feed you, it's like a race to see how many spoonfuls of cereal I can get into you before you stick your hands in your mouth! You also drink water out of a sippy cup! I couldn't believe that you could do it, but you did. You also drink eight ounce bottles. You weigh 16.5 pounds and you are about 26 inches long. You just started wearing 6-9 month clothes!

You are trying to sit up. You can balance yourself for about 3 seconds before toppling over. It's really funny when you do that. :) You don't have any interest in rolling over and you still don't like to be on your tummy. You still love your star, bouncy chair, and swing. You still don't like napping, but you sleep through the night. You go to bed around 7:15pm and you get up around 7:00am (give or take an hour). Thank you for that!

I am amazed at how much I love you. I am already dreading going back to work. I know I will miss you so much! You're my favorite booger in the world.
