Ian had his first sleepover last night. From what I can tell, it went well, and everyone emerged unscathed. While I enjoyed every child-free minute, I really did miss him. I missed not sneaking in his room and looking at him sleeping before I went to bed. I missed his smile when I get him out of the crib in the morning. I missed his sounds and his faces. That is something about motherhood that I never expected. I guess he must have missed me too, because for the first time in his life he was happier to have me holding him then he was to go in his swing or his bouncy. I have to admit, that was kind of nice.
P.S. - The full night's sleep was insanely good.
P.P.S. - I have the best parents ever. :)
This blog is about the young life of Ian as told by his mother.
